Here is a decription of the different types of natural stones:

Marble

Marble is metamorphic rock that is a building material that offers color, durability, scale, history, and full customizability for personal expression.

Granite

An igneous stone that is formed by the cooling of molten materials under the Earth’s surface, granite has great strength and durability. It is a non-absorbent, stain-resistant, and scratch-resistant natural stone.

Quartzite

Also a metamorphic rock, Quartzite forms deep within the earth’s crust when extreme heat and pressure interact with sandstone, fusing it with quartz crystals. It is extremely hard and resistant to heat and other elements and is one of the most popular countertop options.

Quartz

Quartz refers to an engineered stone, which is made by combining ground quartz particles and resins. It is one of the most practical countertop materials, due to it low maintenance and high durability. Quartz is easy to clean does not require special care – such as sealing – and is easy to clean.
