What’s the difference between granite, marble, quartz, and quartzite?

A natural material quarried from the earth,  Granite, is an igneous rock and forms as an exceedingly hard material. Marble is a natural material quarried from the earth.·  It’s a metamorphic stone and is much softer than granite. An engineered stone, Quartz is composed of about 93 percent stone and 7 percent resin.· Quartz stone components are natural materials. Quartzite is a natural metamorphic rock.· Quartzite is harder than granite.

Overmount and undermount cutout – what’s the difference?

Overmount cutouts do not need to be polished, and the sink sits on top of the stone. On the other hand, undermount cutouts are sealed underneath. The stone needs to be polished for a finished look. Use undermount to make it easier to clean your countertops.

How do I protect my stone?

There are several different stone cleaners and sealants from your local hardware stores that can be used on your stone. Since we want our products to look their best, we would be happy to recommend a cleanser.
