Located on historic St. Charles Avenue, The Academy of the Sacred Heart is one of New Orleans’ most iconic educational institutions, known for its long-standing tradition of excellence and its beautiful campus architecture.
SLAG was honored to contribute to the school’s recent renovation by fabricating and installing custom stone countertops for the girls’ restrooms, combining timeless design with everyday functionality.
For this project, we selected Carrara Morro Quartz, a classic and elegant material that brings brightness and sophistication to the space. The soft veining and clean white tones of the quartz perfectly complement the school’s refined aesthetic while ensuring durability and easy maintenance—ideal for a high-use area.
The design focused on combining elegance with practicality. Carrara Morro Quartz (3cm) was chosen for its timeless appearance and durability, bringing a bright and refined look to the restrooms. The mitered edges, undermount sinks, and polished finishes create a seamless, modern result that enhances the space’s functionality while maintaining a sophisticated aesthetic.
This project demonstrates how thoughtful material selection and expert craftsmanship can transform a functional space into one that feels refined, bright, and enduring.
